The Next Level of Networking: Building Communities That Thrive

When Networking Felt Like a Performance, I Knew Something Had to Change
For a long time, I played the networking game exactly how I thought I was supposed to.
I joined the Facebook groups. I went to the virtual meetups. I exchanged business cards and added people on Instagram with the usual “we should totally connect” message. I showed up with my polished bio, prepared elevator pitch, and bright smile. On paper, I was doing it all right.
But inside, I felt empty. Disconnected.
Honestly… a little bit invisible.
There was this subtle pressure to perform, to impress, to have my message just right. And every time I left a networking event, online or in person, I felt drained. Not because I’m shy (I’m not). But because nothing about it felt real.
It wasn’t that people were unkind. It’s just that the energy felt transactional. Everyone was there to “get something.” And when that’s the energy in the room, it’s hard for authentic connection to breathe.
It took me a while to realize the root of the problem:
✨ It wasn’t how I was networking. It was what I believed networking was supposed to be.
I had inherited a definition of networking built on hustle, hierarchy, and transactional relationships. But that model didn’t fit who I am—or how I want to serve.
So, I stopped trying to "network"…
And I started showing up to connect.
I let go of the polished pitch.
I replaced “What do you do?” with “What lights you up?”
I stopped trying to be interesting… and started being interested.
I began to create spaces, small at first, where women could be real with each other. Where we could speak our truths, share our vision, and support one another without the pressure to prove or sell.
And something incredible happened:
🤍 My business grew.
🤍 My confidence deepened.
🤍 My circle expanded—with the right people.
Not because I was “networking better,” but because I was finally leading with heart.
Now, I know this isn’t just about me, it’s about all of us.
So many spiritual entrepreneurs are craving community. Real community.
The kind that lifts you up. That shares your values. That sees you fully and reflects back your brilliance.
That’s what we’re exploring in this month’s Power Circle:

Are you a spiritual entrepreneur who struggles to keep business and personal life in harmony? Do family commitments, hobbies, or caring for loved ones pull your attention in so many directions that productivity feels impossible? You are not alone. Many spiritual entrepreneurs face the same challenge—and the solution starts with thoughtful, intentional planning.
Planning for business growth starts with thoughtfulness and intention.
As a purpose-driven spiritual entrepreneur, you have a unique vision for your life and business. This vision is specific to your goals, values, and aspirations. With the right mindset and approach, you can build a life and business that work in harmony with each other and align with your authentic self.
The key to unlocking your potential is thoughtful and intentional planning. When you take the time to clarify your vision and set specific goals, you create a roadmap for success that will keep you on track and motivated. By breaking down your goals into smaller, actionable steps, you can make steady progress and achieve massive things.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your business to the next level, it's important to approach your goals with a positive and empowering mindset. Believe in yourself and your vision! Trust that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
With thoughtful planning and consistent action, you can build the life and business of your dreams.
Ready to watch your productivity skyrocket and start meeting your business goals?
Don't worry if you're unsure where to start. I’ve helped many women get clear on their business goals, and I’m going to help you do the same! Here are some simple steps and tips for productivity to help you make your dreams a reality.
Step 1: Identify your top three outcomes for the week.
You're off to a great start! Begin by identifying the top three outcomes you want to achieve for the week. This is your North Star, sweet sister! Keep these outcomes top of mind to remind you of what you're striving for.
When you have a clear vision of your desired outcomes, you stay motivated and focused. You can then plan your week around them and ensure that everything you do supports them.
While it's important to remain flexible, having a plan in place ensures that you can stay on track and pick right back up where you left off. No more wasted time wondering what you were doing or where you left off. Choose any day that feels natural as the “start” of your week; the key is consistency.
Helpful Hint: Your week can start on any day that works best for you! So choose a day that feels good to YOU and start planning for success.
Step 2: Plan three small inspired actions.
Based on your three outcomes, identify three small, inspired actions that will help move you towards each one. These actions should be clear, measurable, and realistic. Having these actions written down and in front of you will help you stay accountable and move in the right direction.
For example, if one of your outcomes is to increase your social media following, your inspired actions might be to post three times on Instagram, engage with five new followers, and research hashtags for your niche.
By having these specific actions in place, you can stay focused and avoid getting sidetracked by other tasks that aren’t aligned with your goals.
If you struggle with overwhelm and analysis paralysis, this exercise will help tremendously. You’ll be able to knock out goals left and right. So I’m curious—what will you do with all of your free time?
Now you’re in on my secrets for planning for business growth—and then following through and making it happen! With my tips, you’re well on your way to building a prosperous business that works for you.

A few years back, I remember glancing at my color-coded planner and feeling this massive wave of
Does the thought of putting yourself out there make you squirm? You’re not alone, sweet sister. Many talented women entrepreneurs possess incredible gifts and ideas yet struggle to showcase their skills and market their businesses with confidence. If you’re looking for practical strategies to build your visibility and your courage, read on. Today we’re tackling a big one: overcoming the fear of being seen so you can achieve your dreams.
Fear #1: Direct Outreach
For many spiritual entrepreneurs, direct outreach summons images of pushy sales tactics and awkward conversations. You may worry you’ll be judged as aggressive or rejected outright. Yet direct, purposeful outreach is one of the most potent ways to create genuine relationships and invite the right people into your world.
Start by anchoring your outreach in service, not persuasion. Before dialing a number or drafting a message, take a moment to center your mind on the transformation you offer. Visualize the relief and growth your future client will feel once they work with you. From that heart-space, reaching out is an act of compassion rather than coercion.
Let’s do some reframing. Instead of thinking of it as "selling," think of it as providing value to potential clients. You have something valuable to offer! And it’s your responsibility to boldly share that with the world.
Fear #2: Being on Video
The second fear that I often see is the fear of being on video. Many spiritual entrepreneurs have great ideas, but they struggle to execute them because they’re afraid of putting themselves out there in front of the camera.
Video melts the distance between you and your audience within seconds, yet many soulful entrepreneurs freeze at the very idea of pressing “record.” Common worries swirl, “My voice sounds strange,” “What if I stumble?” “I hate how I look on camera.” A gentle truth: every successful video creator started exactly where you are right now, unpolished and uncertain.
Video is such a powerful tool for building your brand and connecting with your audience. If you’re feeling nervous about it, start small. Record a short video introducing yourself and your business and share it on social media. As you get more comfortable, you can start creating longer videos and incorporating them into your marketing strategy.
Another tip is to practice. The more you do it, the more comfortable you’ll become. And remember, it’s okay to make mistakes! Nobody’s perfect, and your audience will appreciate your authenticity.
Remember: audiences crave realness more than perfection. A slight flub followed by a genuine laugh makes viewers lean in because it reminds them, you’re human, too. Authentic presence eclipses polished performance every time.
Fear #3: Charging Your Value
Underpricing is an invisible cloak many women wear in hopes of avoiding criticism or rejection. Unfortunately, it also repels the very clients who would treasure your work. When you discount yourself, you signal that your services are ordinary even if your heart tells you they’re extraordinary.
As women, we often sell ourselves short. It can be tempting to underprice your products or services or even work for free, but this approach will hurt your business in the long run. Plus, you deserve much better.
When you undervalue your work, you're telling your potential clients that your services aren't worth much. Instead, focus on the value you provide and charge accordingly. You deserve to be compensated for the time, effort, and incredible expertise that you bring to the table. Click the ‘Like’ button below if you think so, too!
Mindset Tip: Know in your bones that you have something special and unique to offer the world.
It's time to stop wondering how to market yourself and step into your power and showcase your talents. All it takes is a little mindset work to get there! By shifting your mindset and taking small steps outside of your comfort zone, you can overcome your fears and build the business of your dreams.
So if you’re ready to do the work and shift your mindset for good, you’ll want to pay close attention to the four powerful steps I’m about to share with you.
How to Overcome Your Fears and Develop an Unapologetic Entrepreneur Mindset
Step 1: Get Crystal Clear
Find out exactly what you want from your business. Ask yourself:
- What are my goals?
- What do I want to experience as an entrepreneur?
- How do I want to feel while running my business?
- And, what kind of income do I want to make?
It's important to be crystal clear on what you're striving towards because it gives you a clear direction to focus your efforts.
Step 2: Visualize
Now, I want you to envision the audacious woman who puts herself out there. Visualize the version of yourself who confidently makes phone calls, follows up on sales calls, shoots videos, and charges what she's worth.
What kind of beliefs does this woman have about herself? Does she believe in her abilities and the value she brings to the table? Visualizing this version of yourself can help you tap into the confidence you need to move forward.
Step 3: Make a Plan
It’s time to determine the actions this confident version of yourself takes. What steps does she take to achieve her goals and overcome her fears?
Maybe she writes a script for a video, puts it on her calendar, and commits to filming it. Or, perhaps she sends out an email to invite people to a live stream, so she's held accountable and shows up. Identify those specific actions and commit to taking them.
Step 4: Take Action
The final step is to put your plan into action. Remember, taking action is key to overcoming your fears and shifting your mindset. It’s how you bring your goals to life!
You might feel friction at first. But the more you do it, the more natural it will become. Be kind to yourself throughout the process, and celebrate your wins along the way.
Remember, it's okay to start small and take baby steps. Each action you take is a step in the right direction. Over time, you'll build momentum and achieve your goals. Keep pushing forward, and you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish!
There you have it! Now you know how to create an entrepreneur mindset to overcome your fears, take up space, and market your business with confidence and purpose.
Visibility blossoms most easily in rich soil. Surround yourself with women who applaud your growth and reflect your courage back to you. A few years back, I remember glancing at my color-coded planner and feeling this massive wave of overwhelm wash over me. My days began at dawn with Zoom calls, social posts, and back-to-back client sessions, and they didn’t end until late at night when I finally forced myself to collapse into bed. I had dreamed of “freedom” and “fulfillment” when I left my 9-to-5, yet somehow I’d built a new kind of cage out of relentless tasks and never-ending to-do lists.
In moments of stillness, my soul would whisper, Is this really the life you wanted? I’d long for a single afternoon off—time to sip tea, read a completely pointless (but delicious!) novel, and simply be. But the second I even entertained the thought, the guilt and mental chatter about my inbox and pending deadlines yanked me back. Before I knew it, I was working weekends, emotionally fatigued, and questioning my decision to become an entrepreneur in the first place.
Then came one particularly sobering Sunday evening. As I caught myself dreading Monday morning, a little voice inside said: “But this is your business—why do you feel so trapped?” That was the turning point. I stumbled upon the concept of passive income and, at first, brushed it off as a silly fantasy. Making money while not actively working? It sounded too good to be true. But the deeper I dove, the more I realized that creating automated offers—like evergreen programs and digital products—could actually honor my spiritual values by letting me serve people around the clock and give myself the sacred rest I desperately needed.
The moment I launched my first evergreen offer, something magical happened. I suddenly had breathing room. Without jam-packing my schedule every day, I could take those midday walks, paint a little, or even brainstorm a brand-new workshop because I felt energized, not depleted. My creativity soared, and so did my ability to nurture truly meaningful client relationships.
If you’re resonating with this, please know there is another way. You don’t have to hustle yourself into burnout. You can build heart-centered, sustainable income streams that reflect your values and give you back the most precious commodity of all: your time. It might feel like a leap of faith, but trust me—it’s a step that aligns your work and your well-being in the most beautiful way possible.
Let’s clear something up: “Passive income” doesn’t mean spamming your audience with cold, automated funnels or selling cookie-cutter courses that leave you feeling disconnected. ✨ Yet, I see so many amazing, soul-led entrepreneurs who assume passive income must be impersonal—or they push it off for “someday” because they believe it clashes with their spiritual values.
#1 MISTAKE: They get stuck in the loop of trading hours for dollars, convinced their offers need constant live delivery to maintain authenticity. They want more freedom, but remain tethered to back-to-back sessions, hustling nonstop to make ends meet. Eventually, burnout creeps in—along with the nagging question: Is this really the life I envisioned when I started my business?
Here’s the truth: Passive income can be soul-centered, creative, and deeply personal. It’s not just about “automated evergreen streams.” It might look like:
-
Licensing your unique frameworks or meditations to other practitioners, so your gifts travel farther.
-
Affiliate Partnerships that align with your values, allowing you to recommend transformative products without building anything new.
-
Membership Communities that evolve with your tribe, providing evergreen support in a nurturing space.
Ready to call in more ease and abundance without sacrificing your authenticity? Here are 3 quick tips to help you create passive income streams that align with your spirit and free up your time for the things that truly matter.
-
Stop Focusing on One-To-One Delivery Only
Many spiritual entrepreneurs believe they must always be there in person (or on Zoom!) for every dollar they earn. The problem? You can easily burn out—or stall your growth altogether—because your energy becomes the bottleneck. Instead, consider leveraging a self-paced course, digital toolkit, or membership model that serves your audience while you sleep. I’ll be sharing more about soulfully creating these offers in our upcoming session. -
Start Treating Passive Income Like a Sacred System
One big hurdle is feeling icky or impersonal about the “set-it-and-forget-it” idea. But look at it this way: Having automated, evergreen elements in your business frees you to deepen your impact elsewhere—whether that’s doing higher-touch coaching, nurturing your community, or taking a well-deserved break to recharge. When you shift your mindset and see passive income as a sacred system rather than a soulless funnel, you open the flow of steady abundance. -
Share Your Why Through Stories
Even if something is “automated,” it should still carry your voice and passion. Let your community know why you created your products or programs, and how they fit into your bigger vision of service. When people see the heart behind your offers, they connect with you on a deeper level. I’ll dive into how to weave personal stories into your passive-income approach so that it feels meaningful and profitable.
You can find an approach that feels genuine to you—and that’s exactly what I’ll be covering in our upcoming Female Entrepreneur Society Power Circle, “Infinite Income: Creating Passive Income Streams That Work,” on Wednesday, April 30th at 9:00 AM MDT.
If you’re craving the spaciousness and trust that come with having income streams that support you (not the other way around), then join me: Click here to secure your spot!
I promise this training is anything but impersonal or cookie-cutter. Let’s break down the walls of old assumptions and welcome in a more abundant way of doing business—together.
