How Seventy-Two “Perfect” Emails Brought Me Zero Sales—and Intuition Turned It All Around

I thought I had cracked the code when I hired the launch specialists. They assured me that if I followed their formula my program would sell like wildfire. They crafted an enormous webinar deck, insisted on a paid-ad blitz, and scheduled seventy-two emails to pound my list over the course of the launch. Each sentence was optimized for urgency, scarcity, and every other buzzword in their playbook.

Launch day arrived. I brewed a vanilla oat-milk latte for courage, clicked “send” on the first wave of emails, and waited for Stripe notifications to sing. The dashboard stayed silent. By nightfall the silence was deafening. After the final email hit inboxes my sales total sat stubbornly at zero. My heart felt heavier than my credit-card bill, and that whisper I had been ignoring finally asked, “Where are you in all of this?”

Six months later I decided to rebuild from the inside out. A new Kenyan friend once told me she wears her brightest dress on payday because money loves to feel adored. She is right. Joy steadies the nervous system and invites new revenue with playful ease.

Last spring my schedule looked like a confetti explosion with client calls, content creation, plus the endless cycle of cooking and laundry.
